About Randy

From a young age, Randy harbored a palpable passion for the medical field, a journey that took its first decisive steps during his time in the military. It was here that Randy embraced the noble profession of an EMT, kindling a fire within him to devote his life to the service of others. Following an honorable discharge, he embarked on a scholastic journey, acquiring a bachelor's degree in Psychology to further sculpt his path in the medical field.

However, Randy's appetite for connecting more profoundly with his patients led him down the path of nursing, allowing him to immerse himself in the intricate world of acute facilities. For over four enriching years, he became an integral part of the Kootenai Health team in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, gracing both adult and youth units with his compassionate presence. Fueled by an unyielding desire to expand his horizons and enhance his expertise, Randy ascended further, achieving a master's degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and subsequently attaining national board certification.

Randy has a big heart and a deep passion for helping others in many different ways. From teaching people how to save lives with free CPR courses to volunteering with Search and Rescue teams, Randy makes a positive impact wherever he goes. He loves to garden, sharing the bounty with those who need it most. He's also a fan of competitive running and obstacle course races, combining his love for fitness with his drive to help others.

An eternal learner, Randy’s journey of self-improvement unfurls across diverse spheres. With an impressive eight degrees under his belt, he is gearing up to embark on his ninth academic venture. Intent on amplifying his expertise in medical assistance, Randy envisions completing a Family Nurse Practitioner degree in the coming years, further improving his capacity to serve with empathy and expertise.

Away from the professional sphere, Randy finds solace in the embrace of nature. His days are interspersed with invigorating hikes, peaceful moments in his garden, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. Having traversed the globe in his youth, he finds unparalleled joy in the familiar landscapes of his childhood haunts.
